Who the hell is Eric Wong?

I‘m not going to give you my life story or the details of every course I’ve taken over the past 11 years since I first started as a Personal Trainer.

But I will show you how most fitness and workout programs on the internet are absolute garbage and are doing more harm than good.

I’ll also mention that I have a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, not to brag, but for an important reason we’ll talk about in a minute…

Since 2006, I’ve focused on training mixed martial artists for fights, learning everything I could to help my athletes win.

The first fighter I trained was Jeff “The Inferno” Joslin.

I helped him prepare for a title fight, which he won, which then led to his dream of fighting in the UFC.

Since then, I’ve trained dozens of pro and amateur fighters in the Hamilton and Toronto areas (these are cities s in Ontario, Canada).

They haven’t all won or made it to the UFC, but one thing they all have in common is a high level of strength and conditioning and the confidence to go the distance with any opponent.

As of writing this, I’m currently working with UFC fighters Claude Patrick and Mark Bocek, who are benefiting from my training methods.

Why I Mentioned My University Degree Earlier…

Like I said, it wasn’t to brag.

It’s so I have some credibility when I say that most of the MMA training methods and even general fitness workouts you’ve heard about or seen online or on TV are crap.

Here’s why I’m saying this…

The basic premise behind all of these training programs is to “train hard” and “the harder, the better”.

While that makes for good TV, it doesn’t necessarily make for an effective training program.

Training hard is important, for sure.

But following a periodized, progressive program designed to meet your goals is the most important thing to getting efficient results without overtraining.

Ever follow a program that felt crazy hard and end up with an injury?

Well, there’s nothing worse than an injury or feeling burnt out to stop your progress.

And that’s what a lot of these programs do – they drive you into the ground and when your body can’t handle it anymore you feel like it’s your fault for not being able to stick with it.

That’s unfortunate – because it’s not your fault – it’s the program that failed you.

This makes me angry, and is why I do what I do – put out solid programs that get results and help keep you healthy.

At the beginning I told you that I was going to reveal to you why most fitness and workout programs on the internet are garbage…

Unrealistically hard programs are just ONE reason…

Another is that most of these programs don’t adhere to some of the fundamental principles of training.

Want to know what these principles are and how following them will dramatically improve your results?
