Quick Start Guide
I know this may sound like a lot already, but in anything you do, whether it’s a new job or a new relationship, a lot of work goes in at the start. To make this as easy as possible on you, I’ve created this handy Quick Start Guide that includes a simple checklist to follow to make sure you do the right things in the right order, setting the foundation for MAXIMUM results.
Once you’ve completed the Pre-Camp, which lasts 7 days, you move on to the main MMA Ripped 8-Week Training Camp:
This guide will give you an overview of everything to expect when you work your way through the MMA Ripped 8-Week Training Camp. Each week is described from the Pre-Camp all the way to the Post-Camp.
You’ll understand why the workouts are structured the way they are, which will provide fire up your motivation to make you push yourself when you’re training.
This guide will show you what to eat based on your current body fat % and a questionnaire you’ll take based on your responses to the Priming Phase Diet.
You’ll discover a simple system for choosing what foods to eat to optimize your body’s fat burning rate while maintaining (and in some cases) gaining lean muscle. On top of that, you’ll have an abundance of energy, fueling the most rapid strength, endurance and cardio gains you’ve ever experienced.
The MMA Ripped Training Worksheets
Every 2 weeks, you’ll get access to the MMA Ripped Training Worksheets for the upcoming phase, keeping you looking forward to training and on track. The training worksheets outline every exercise, rep, set, rest period and detail you need for each and every workout you’ll do including strength, cardio, technical sparring and live sparring. All you’ve got to do is follow the details outlined on these high quality, printable sheets, and you’ll be doing workouts as effectively as if I were right there, coaching you through them.
The main training camp is broken down into 2 week blocks counting down to a fight, starting at 8 Weeks Out (8WO) all the way to 1 Week Out (1WO). Here’s a brief overview of what is included in each phase:
8WO/7WO: You’ll build a solid base here so that when you get to the more intense protocols, your muscles, joints and ligaments will be ready to go. You’ll be introduced to a density set where you’ll develop your Grinding Strength Endurance (GSE). Cardio-wise you’ll perform aerobic power intervals to specifically target your cardiac power at maximal heart rate. For the sparring sessions you will again focus on GSE.
6WO/5WO: You’ll be introduced to more complex exercises that challenge your whole body co-ordination and balance on top of strength and endurance. You’ll step the GSE training up a notch and really work on your mental toughness. Cardio will focus on developing power at your anaerobic threshold while the sparring sessions will introduce some unique exercises and pave the way for the Explosive Power Endurance (EPE) training to come.
4WO/3WO: Before starting this phase you’ll perform your Mid-Camp body composition assessments to track your progress. A new challenge set will be introduced and you’ll peak your cardio training with short burst intervals. The sparring sessions will introduce EPE training to really test your mettle and drastically boost your conditioning.
2WO/1WO: Finally, you’ll be Peaking for the Post-Camp assessments to prove just how much you are capable of in 8 weeks. Focus will be on sparring sessions as that is the key to winning any fight and these intense but fun workouts will torch the fat off your body faster than anything you’ve ever done before.
Once you’ve completed the 8-Week Training Camp, you’ll enter the Post-Camp phase where you redo all of the assessments you performed during the Pre-Camp phase and astonish yourself with just how far you’ve come in 8 short weeks. :)
