Do a search for ‘fat loss workout’ and Google will spit out over 6.4 million pages. Or go and browse through the latest fitness magazines each month looking for fat loss advice. Can you spell confusion? I can, it’s spelled INFORMATION OVERLOAD.

It seems that every day, some fly-by-night trainer comes up with a new fat loss hook or angle to package the same old training. Are you as sick of these fads popping up as I am? The result of this information age that we live in is that we have a lot of info but we’re lacking the key that will unlock results – application.

Knowledge is Not Power;
APPLIED Knowledge is Power

There’s this kid – probably around 17 – that’s been working out at a gym I go to since last summer. He was a chubby kid who probably got picked on a lot at school. I’d see him doing some absolutely retarded things in the gym. If you can, picture this – I once saw him marching on the curved side of a Bosu ball while doing alternating overhead dumbbell presses! I shook my head in disgusted amazement.

I haven’t been to that gym in a while and fast forward to the present day – the kid is actually starting to look pretty good… He has definition in his shoulders and arms, his face has leaned out and he looks like he dropped maybe 10 lbs or so.

It’s been about 5 months since I last saw him so his results weren’t lightning fast, but they were real, visible results. Maybe there’s something to those crazy Marching With Alternating 1-Arm Overhead Presses on a BOSU Ball (TM) after all?!? This kid probably violated each and every fitness principle in the book… Except for the most important ones.

What are they?

Simple.

He showed up. And worked hard.

I mean, he’s done and still does exercises that make me want to vomit in my mouth. But the bottom line is that this kid showed up… Consistently… And every time I saw him he’d be going at it, not talking to his buddies or loafing around.

Show Up + Work Hard = Results

But his results would’ve been scary if he added just one thing to this equation. Adding this wouldn’t have made his workouts any longer, in fact, they’d have been shorter. I know that once you read it, you’ll say to yourself, “I knew that!”

Here’s the piece the kid was missing that would’ve dramatically accelerated his results:

Show Up + Work Hard  + Work Smart = Amazing Results… FAST

Instead of dicking around with goofy exercises that have no transfer to sport or life (unless you’re competing with that awesome circus bear who can walk on a ball for his job), he could’ve spent less time doing more effective exercises and following a more efficient program to get better results, much, much faster.

I shudder to think of what kind of shape he’d be in if he got a hold of the 5 Keys to UNCAGE the Fighter’s Physique report and applied the info. Or maybe I’ll have him go through the MMA Ripped 8-Week Training Camp. We’ll see.

So now you have the magic formula for achieving Amazing Results… FAST.

There are no magic bullets and no quick fixes. If you’re looking for them, you’re in the wrong place. You’re also in the wrong place if you’re comfortable where you are right now with your fitness and physique and you’re scared of hard work. If this describes you, feel free to continue reading and following along and posting Comments like “great article”, but don’t be upset when in 8 weeks or 8 months or 8 years you’re at exactly the same place as you are right now… or worse.

But, if you’re ready to leap out of your comfort zone into unfamiliar territory that’s guaranteed to take your strength, conditioning, confidence and body to the next stratosphere, then stick around and get ready to take action. Amazing results are yours to reach out and claim.

There’s just 1 thing, and it’s not your fault, it’s simply society, and human nature…

With all the ‘distractions’ of life, like your job, school, girlfriend, wife, kids, friends, and other commitments, showing up to train and get in top shape often gets pushed to the backburner. You and I both know that EVERYBODY wants to get in shape, but how many are actually successful?
