SCDS… The New Weapon In The Quest To Getting You RIPPED!
You can do it alone. You can. I’m not just being optimistic, others have done it, so can you. They’re no more special than you. You are just as capable of achieving your goals as anyone who has achieved the same goal as you in the past. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t.
But here’s the thing…
It’s a lot harder to go it alone. And most people DON’T do it alone because it’s so easy to make excuses to yourself not to Show Up (if you don’t know the formula that Show Up is a part of, get the full scoop HERE before continuing, it opens in a new window).
GSP Training With Freddie Roach at Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Las Vegas
Look at Georges St-Pierre… He flies around the world to train with guys like Freddie Roach and Greg Jackson to continue his evolution as a mixed martial artist. He didn’t sit in his basement watching Kyokushin Karate tapes and become one of the best pound for pound fighters on the planet. He figured out what he needed to learn and hired the best to learn it. Greg Jackson’s camp has become a mecca for fighters not only because of his coaching, but because of the environment he’s created (although that environment is being tested right now with the Jones/Evans soap opera).
And the value of coaching isn’t limited to athletics, here’s a quote from The Denver Post newspaper, “The Manchester survey of 140 companies shows nine in 10 executives believe coaching to be worth their time and dollars. The average return was more than $5 for each $1 spent.”
So if the best fighters in the world get coaching and top businessmen invest in coaching, doesn’t it make sense to do what they do and follow their lead?
Now here’s a free tip that you can implement RIGHT now to help you achieve your goals: find someone you trust and respect, tell them your goal and setup a penalty that you will stick to if you don’t achieve it. But don’t make the mistake of setting just an OUTCOME goal. Set your outcome goal, then set your BEHAVIOUR goals and make the penalty based on that, eg. as opposed to just saying your goal is “I want to drop 20 pounds in 8 weeks”, your goal is “I want to drop 20 pounds in 8 weeks by exercising 4 days a week.” So if you miss your workouts, you pay the penalty.
Remember the First Part of the Amazing
Results FAST Formula = Show Up
Setting a penalty for your behavior goals will get you to show up and once you do, unless you’re a pansy (and if you’re reading this you’re probably not), you’re going to work hard.
This is why the Personal Training Industry is so huge – people need to pay $60 or more per session to a 25 year old “Certified Personal Trainer” just to get themselves to show up. I used to HATE it when I trained general fitness clients and they told me, “The main reason I hired you was to make me show up.” That’s why I love training fighters and guys who have the fighter’s never-quit-bring-it-on mindset.
I also get angry when I see what some trainers do with clients who pay an arm and a leg to work with them. My biggest pet peeve is seeing them put people through random and often dangerous workouts that they probably wouldn’t or couldn’t do themselves while they sit there counting reps out loud. I’m sure you’ve seen some absolutely stupid things trainers make their clients do in the gym, right?
The beauty of the internet is that it’s allowed clients to hook up with qualified coaches, not just the resident meathead at your local gym. But this has spawned a NEW PROBLEM…
If you’ve got any books on your bookshelf or workout programs on your computer that you never started or completed, you know what I’m talking about. It’s easy to get excited and hyped up about a program but then put in on the backburner.
That’s why I developed a system to guide you through the training process step-by-step that’s as close to training with me in person as you can get online. If you’ve ever wanted a coach to UFC fighters to be your strength coach, now is the time.
I call it the Staggered Content Delivery System (SCDS).
The SCDS Ensures You Don’t Get Info-Overload and You Know
Only What You Need To Do, When You Need To Do It
I’m a tech geek and I love computers. Big surprise coming from a Chinese guy eh? :) When I was in high school, computers were just coming out and they were a lot more complicated than they are now. Guys I barely knew would actually call me to fix their computers! But those early years spent playing with the magical box have helped me create the SCDS. Setting this system up resulted in a lot of late, late nights, but in the end, it’s been worth it because of the results it’s produced, which you’ll be hearing about in full in the next update. But here’s the answer I got from 4 of my beta testers in response to the question, “What do you think about the way the program was delivered in 1-2 week blocks instead of all at once?”
Basically, the Staggered Content Delivery system only gives you the diet, workouts, info and exercises you need to do at that time.
In the MMA Ripped 8-Week Training Camp, that means you’ll get the details of the upcoming phase either weekly or bi-weekly. You’ll start in the Pre-Camp phase, then move to 8 Weeks Out (8WO), then 7WO, etc until you finish up with the Post-Camp phase. When the next phase is about to begin, you get the next chunk of info a few days ahead so you can see what’s coming.
This way, you don’t have some 300 page encyclopedia to read that usually gets put off until you ‘have the time’ and ends up going unread. Or, if you do get through it all, it’s easy to get overwhelmed because you just had a ton of info thrown at you and you don’t know where to start. So you don’t start at all.
Can you see how this would be beneficial?
Now, the last thing I want to share with you today addresses the question, “A fighter trains and spars too… I don’t train MMA, so how will this program work for me?”
This question is totally valid and here’s what I’ve done…
Introducing The MMA Ripped Technical and Live Sparring Sessions
I’ve developed workouts that simulate MMA training using bodyweight exercises. Each week, there is a Technical Sparring workout and a Live Sparring workout. The workouts and exercises progress in both exercise difficulty and workout intensity, simulating what it would be like to train for a fight.
When you hit these workouts, you’ll be doing totally unique exercises and movements that simulate training and sparring using all of the muscles in your body, especially your core . So if you don’t train MMA, these workouts will serve as your ‘MMA training’ to carve out your fighter’s physique.
Here’s a clip of highlights of these fight specific exercises from the Live Sparring sessions:
As you can see, the exercises hit your body in ways you’ve never felt before, activating new muscles and improving your coordination, balance and agility, on top of your strength, endurance and power. But the key to this is the progression – each phase builds on the previous phase so that you end up being able to do the most challenging exercises and go hard for 5 x 5 minute rounds, carving out your championship fight ready body and giving you the fitness to go the distance.
I hope you enjoyed today’s update, in the next update, you’re going to read profiles of 6 very different guys who were a part of my beta test group including their full results. After that, I’m going to be sharing how you can join the MMA Ripped 8-Week Training Camp for FREE when it opens for registrations on April 26. Watch your email closely for more details.
